NDIS & Nutrition
As an NDIS participant, you have the world of healthcare at your fingertips. Excitingly, this includes Dietetics.
Nutrition in disability can make a world of change. Whether that be improving mood, behaviour and cognition, giving you the energy and strength to enjoy your favourite activities or improve your gut symptoms. This is in addition to the essentials that proper nutrition is responsible for: Optimal function, Growth and development, Defence against infection, Repair of injury, Physical activity and Mental health.
Unfortunately, achieving adequate nutrition for individuals with a disability can be increasingly difficult due to physical, intellectual, sensory, neurological or psychiatric impairments that lead to unique and complex food and nutrition needs.
That's why our Dietitians here at The Realeatitian are here to offer support and guidance in allowing you not only to meet your NDIS goals, but to help you optimise your health and lifestyle. Our Accredited Practising Dietitians are experienced working with NDIS participants, families, support staff, professionals and others to advise on all nutrition-related matters.
Ultimately, we'll help you achieve the skillset to feel more energised, happier, healthier and fulfilled in your daily life
